Delaware and Tennessee are Racing to the Top

Delaware and Tennessee have been announced as the two winners of the $4 billion education reform Race to the Top competition.  Delaware will receive $100 million and Tennessee will receive $500 million to implement their comprehensive school reform plans over the next four years.  For those states that did not receive funding in this first round, the 2nd round of competition begins today and applications are due on June 1.
