NASBE Calls for Higher Standards, More Time in Classrooms from Schools of Ed

The National Association of State Boards of Education (NASBE) released a report today saying that schools of education need to provide teacher candidates with a more thorough exposure to K-12 classrooms during training, as well as raise their admissions standards. The report mentions teacher residencies and says that more time in classrooms, as well as mentoring, is critical. More analysis can be found here.
