PDK/Gallup Poll Reveals America’s Opinions on Education

A poll conducted by Phi Delta Kappa and Gallup shows that Americans trust and value teachers. About three out of four people said they had confidence in teachers, and two out of three said they would encourage their own children to become teachers. Americans are split on teacher unions, however. 47 percent said that unions hurt the quality of public education. Read more in Education Week
