Richard Riley, former U.S. Secretary of Education, talks about his leadership style, how to make decisions, and how to engage and motivate staff members in a recent Washington Post blog. Riley says he never made a major education decision in Washington without a teacher in the room, and more often than not that teacher was Dr. Terry Dozier, now Director of the Richmond Teacher Residency.
