States Are Strengthening Rigor of Assessments

The National Center for Education Statistics released an analysis this week of 2009 NAEP scores mapped to individual states. The report shows that several states increased the rigor of their assessments between 2007 and 2009. However, state expectations continue to fall below those of the national assessment.
