A recent Phi Delta Kappan article takes a look at the effects of induction on today’s young teaching force. Most importantly, researchers asked, “Does induction matter?” According to this article, the answer is a resounding “yes.” Researchers found a link between participating in an induction program and retention. Interestingly, working with a mentor was a key part of induction programs studied.
