More about Aspire Teacher Residency Program

The Aspire Teacher Residency Program is an intensive and supportive teacher training program in collaboration with the University of the Pacific and Aspire Public Schools.  At the completion of the program, Residents will have earned: a preliminary credential from the State of California (multiple subject, English, math, science, or social studies), a Master of Arts in Education, a stipend of $13,500 for the first year plus full Aspire benefits and tuition reimbursement opportunities.  Residents who successfully complete the first year of the program will be hired at full salary at an Aspire school and will receive one on one support for two years.  Residents work four days/week with a Mentor Teacher in the classroom, one day/week in Seminar and take online courses through the University of the Pacific.  Residency placements are available in East Palo Alto, Oakland, Los Angeles, Sacramento, Stockton and Modesto.
